Potty Training

Well I think we've finally cracked it!
Jack my grandson has been showing signs for a while but refusing to use the potty or the toilet.
He had a few good days on holiday and used the potty then deciding not to again.
So on Sunday I told him right no more nappies let's use the potty today.
Each time you use the potty you can have a sticker and at the end of the week you can choose a present.
So we've had hardly any accidents at all.
A few dry nights as well.
He's also very happy and feels like a big boy and gets very happy when he's used the potty.
I might also point out Jack is my grandson he's 2 and almost 5 months.

I also found him harder than the girls as well.
When the girls were at that age ( long time ago now!)
From the first time I introduced them to the potty they used it.
Then again Jacks pretty stubborn lol.
Hope these tips help.

Complaining about Customer Service you Received

Now you've been and bought something but the Customer Service
you received was awful now you don't know who to talk to.
Well first of you're not alone.
If you feel you can't talk to the manager of the store, email the company direct.
Make sure you tell them what happened, why you're upset, the store details.
The next step will be they will email or ring you for more information and assure you they will resolve it.
They should also give you a time span on how long before they will get back to you.
If you haven't heard after that time contact them again, see what's going on.
Just remember you're the CONSUMER they will not want to lose you.
One bad experience could cost them a lot of money.
As one person telling her friends her bad experience, they tell their friends, etc.
So you see what I mean.

On the Good Side of it Businesses also love to hear how well their doing.
So if you received really good Customer Service.
Tell the manager of the store or email the company.
They love to hear they are doing well.
Hope this helps.

Easy Chicken Curry and Vegetable Curry

So not everyone knows how to make curry so I thought I'd talk you through the steps.
First off brown your  skinless chicken off make sure it's white no pink is showing at all.
Browning the chicken takes about 10 to 15 minutes.
I always put a bit of oil or you can use margarine not too much just enough to cover the pan.
When the chicken is cooking boil your rice or if you're being really lazy use microwaveable rice.
That only takes 2 minutes in a microwave.
Now your chicken is cooked you drain the fat off.
Then add a sauce of your choice.
I use Pataks Korma sauce.(Jar)
But you can use whatever sauce you prefer.
You literally empty the sauce and chicken together and cook for about 15 minutes.
It's quick and easy.
Now the vegetable curry takes the longest.
I bought from Asda a vegetable curry pack in the fresh aisle.
You add a tin of tomatoes,1 oxo cube,100 ml of water and of course the mixture.
Keep stirring it's meant to take 30 minutes on the hob or 7 minutes in the microwave.
I cooked on the hob.
Make sure you turn it down once it starts bubbling or it will burn.
Then all that's left is to dish up and eat.
And serve with any thing you like be it popadoms or naan bread.
Was very yummy.
Thanks for reading.
Let me know if you try this.
Enjoy.

Review of Falling Skies

Falling Skies tells the story of the aftermath of a global invasion by extraterrestrials (including mechanical attack drones called "mechs", a species of green-skinned six-legged beings known as "Skitters" that appear to control the mechs, and a third mysterious species known as the Overlords, or "Espheni", presumably the actual engineers of the invasion and the masters of the Skitters). Within a few days the invaders neutralized the world's power grid and technology, destroyed the militaries of all the world's countries, and killed over 90% of the human population. The aliens' objectives are not explained, though the aliens try to round up children between the ages of 8 and 18 and attach a biomechanical obedience device onto (and into) their spines, referred to as a "harness". The harness controls the child's mind, and forcibly removing it generally kills the child. The story begins six months after the invasion and follows a group of survivors who band together to fight back. The group, known as the Second Massachusetts (an allusion to a historical regiment from theContinental Army), is led by retired U.S. Army Captain Dan Weaver and Boston University history professor Tom Mason who, while in search of his son Ben, must put his extensive knowledge of military history into practice as one of the leaders of the resistance movement.

I love this program it's non stop action packed into an hour every Tuesday.
Aliens and Humans against each other, then teaming up to take on other aliens.
Outcasts teaming up with Heroes to take on the Aliens.
If you love Aliens or Science Fiction then this is for you!

Skincare Products on a Budget

So I was interested to see can you get some of the expensive skin care items for less.
Well the answer is yes.
I bough from my 99p store TZone Deep Pore Cleansing Cream Wash,Clearasil Deep Pore Treatment Lotion,TZone Rapid Action Spot Zapping Gel.Plus Exfoliating gloves.
These are fantastic products and on a low budget too.
So instead of going in the. It brand shops.
Look around.
It's well worth the time spent looking in the cheaper shops.
The money you could save could well end up being a pair of shoes instead.
Think about it.

Found this  in today's look in the 99p shop (22/08)
This is lovely makes your skin feel great too.

Keeping Our Kids Safe online.

 Keeping Safe Online
1)      Don’t post any personal information online – like your address, email address or mobile number.
2)      Think carefully before posting pictures or videos of yourself.  Once you’ve put  a picture of yourself online most people can see it and may be able to download it, it’s not just yours anymore.
3)      Keep your privacy settings as high as possible
4)      Never give out your passwords
5)      Don’t befriend people you don’t know
6)      Don’t meet up with people you’ve met online.  Speak to your parent or carer about people suggesting you do
7)      Remember that not everyone online is who they say they are
8)      Think carefully about what you say before you post something online
9)      Respect other people’s views, even if you don’t agree with someone else’s views doesn’t mean you need to be rude.

10)   If you see something online that makes you feel uncomfortable, unsafe or worried: leave the website, turn off your computer if you want to and tell a trusted adult immediately.

Of course my own opinion is we as parents are responsible as well,
If you are going to let your child have a laptop in their room, you need to set ground rules.
I personally don't agree with kids having laptops in their room.
After all you bought it you're responsible!
Set a time limit on the amount of internet time.
If they argue with you, remind them who the parent is!
Ask if you can see what they've been up to.
Not a case of checking on them, but checking there safe.

Cineworld Take 2 on a Thursday

Missed any of the big films of the year so far?
Looking for a cheap night out?
Well, now you can do both, with Cineworld’s Take 2 offer!
We are bringing back the biggest films of the year continuing with Godzilla  on Thursday the 14th of August. And what’s even better is that you and a friend can get two free small drinks and a free regular popcorn when you buy a Take 2 ticket for just £11 if you book online through mycineworld.
What’s not to like?
I took Georgia to see this on Thursday as I missed it when it came out and apart from the fact that it's great value with 2 drinks and a medium popcorn and watching the film.
The film is fantastic and nothing like the 1998 film.
So if you're after a remake don't bother.
This film had so many different aspects to the film.
All I can say is you won't be disappointed.
We loved it!

Robin Williams...A True Icon

July 21, 1951 – August 11, 2014

Robin Williams as we all knew and loved him.
His Birth name was Robin McLaurin Williams
I have always loved him in movies,he's always been as far as I can remember in my life, growing up.
From Mork and Mindy to Hook.
He was always such a contrast actor playing funny to serious.
The World will be a quieter place without him.
I will always always remember him as Peter Pan because to me he was Peter Pan.
